VisitManager raises an exception while running nose

Reported by: max Owned by: anonymous
Priority: normal Milestone: 1.5
Component: TurboGears Version: 0.9a6
Severity: normal Keywords:

Description

While running my tests with nose tool I often get the following exception:

Exception in thread VisitManager (most likely raised during interpreter shutdown):
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\Python24\lib\threading.py", line 442, in __bootstrap
File "d:\projects\3rd-party\turbogears-1.0\turbogears\visit\api.py", line 257, in run
File "C:\Python24\lib\threading.py", line 348, in wait
File "C:\Python24\lib\threading.py", line 196, in wait
exceptions.TypeError: exceptions must be classes, instances, or strings (deprecated), not NoneType

This happens after all test are run, presumably at interpreter shutdown.

  • Milestone changed from 1.0b2 to 1.0b3

I have never ran across this.

if you could isolate which of your tests is causing this and poste it maybe we can debug

The same error is described in more detail in #1217. That manifests with a fresh quickstarted project, using sqlobject identity (and does not manifest if not using identity), created with trunk r2269.
