can't access stdvars while in a py:def block in kid

Description

I'm defining a new kid template via py:def. In it I'd like to use some of the code in stdvars (via tg.<blah>). In doing so I get a NameError? saying tg is not defined. The same code works outside of the py:def section.

I'm using 0.9a9.

As a workaround, I'm passing in tg as an argument when I call the function defined by the py:def and that works, but isn't pretty.
