Add JSLinkOnline widget

Reported by: fredlin Owned by: anonymous
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: TG Widgets Version: 1.0b1
Severity: normal Keywords: online javascript library
Cc:

Description

Many JS libraries are able to link online,

ex:

JSQuery  http://jquery.com/src/jquery-latest.pack.js

Since TG's target is web applications, it seems reasonable to provide a js library widget

JSLinkOnline('JSQuery')

call that widget in controllers.py will insert the link to render pages:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://jquery.com/src/jquery-latest.pack.js"></script>

The benifits?

  1. Ease the user to try different JS libraries
  2. Always up to date JS libraries
  3. Not affect the default TG

I can see some security issues with this., but if it's implemented as another independent widget then it's your fault for using it on non-trusted hosts :)

+1

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Milestone __unclassified__ deleted

This is trivial to implement on your own. See the mailing list thread linked above.
