Allow OpenID logins for various Turbogears websites

Reported by: Omnifarious Owned by: Chris Arndt
Priority: low Milestone:
Component: Web site Version: trunk
Severity: normal Keywords: openid, identity

I'm close to the point where I will not identify myself to a website anymore that doesn't use  OpenID. It also ought to be an authentication mechanism in the TurboGears identity system that is supported out of the box.

For example, OpenID can be supported by this (the TurboGears trac) by using the  OpenID plugin from  Trac Hacks.

The only turbogears site that currently requires you to log in, is this trac site. For the docs wiki, login is only required, if you want to become an editor.

Unfortunately, the versions of trac and MoinMoin? we use, do not support OPenID. The plugin you mentioned is, alas, abandoned.

When Trac 0.11 / MoinMoin? 1,.6 is stable, we might make the switch and reconsider OpenID.
