Description

The information about the current status of TurboGears on the official website is outdated and lacking information about latest developments. We hope to have a general overhaul of the web site before PyCon 2008. In the mean time, we should probably move http://docs.turbogears.org/1.0/DevStatus to http://docs.turbogears.org/DevStatus and add some more background information and then link it from the TG homepage.

Change History

  • status changed from new to assigned.
  • type changed from enhancement to task.

http://docs.turbogears.org/DevStatus has been created and filled and http://docs.turbogears.org/1.0/DevStatus now redirects to it.

The latter is linked from http://www.turbogears/about/, so the information is accesible.

We should still put a prominent announcement on the webpage.

From #1818:

Even the "development" link on www.turbogears.org points to a wiki page which does not mention 2.0.

That is not true. The "Development" link points to http://docs.turbogears.org/Contributing and this page explains the different TurboGears branches in SVN within the first few paragraphs of the page.

Anyway, I inserted a reference to the DevStatus page in a new section right at the start of the page.

Still, we need a new 2.0 section on the web site. I believe, Mark Ramm is onto this.
