Description

tg_format should be extensible with entry points. Some ideas for additional tg_format parameters that could be provided by third parties:

  • amf : Flash's Action Message Format (aka Flash Remoting, like binary JSON)
  • plist : an XML dialect used frequently by Apple (much like JSON)

Specifically I'm interested in amf, because I'm working on a library for working with AMF and other Flash data formats... though Flash remoting apps normally subverts URLs entirely and dispatches through a single gateway URL, it might be nice to do a URL-based version.

does 1.1 seems ok for this?

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Summary changed from Extensibility for tg_format to =

This can be done right now by having a custom template engine for exemple amf. @expose("afm", as_format="afm")
