Template line numbers are off by one line

Reported by: smurf@… Owned by: anonymous

Component: Kid Version:

Description

When setting KID_OUTPUT_PY, line numbers for backtraces through the .py files generated from .kid templates are off by one; they report the line *before* the one thattriggered the problem.

Needless to say, this is somewhat confusing.

Is this still true? Even with TurboKid? and the latest Kid? I believe this is already fixed, but I don't have a test case for it.

This is actually a bug in Python itself. It doesn't count lines with __future__ imports, so since Kid's generated Python files all start with "from __future__ import generators" the line count is always shifted by one.
