Description

Quickstart has gotten more complicated (multiple templates, the templates have minor logic in them), so some automated tests would really help.

  • Summary changed from Quickstart needs unit tests to Running unit tests of quickstarted projects should be automated.

I'm hi-jacking this ticket for a related issue: the quickstart templates now generate several unit test for a new project.

We need a mechanism to automate runing tg-admin quickstart with different options and running the unit tests inside the created projects, for quality control.

Yes, this will be addressed by the "TurboGears Quality Assurance Initiative" GSoC project. I'm assigning this ticket to Setven Mohr, the student who works on this project.

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to wontfix

The GSoC project is long over and while a buildbot instance was set up at the time, it was never really finished to a state where it was used in the actual development process of turbogears.

I'm therefor closing this ticket as "wontfix" now.
