The discussion of using template functions is a bit on the short side. It's not clear how, exactly, to use template functions to do site-wide headers and footers.

I don't know that the "site-wide headers and footers" section is the best place to discuss template functions. Popular usage seems to be defining site-wide content in the master.kid and relying on the body match template to pull in content for any files extending that.

If I get a chance I will work up a separate doc on template functions, if that seems appropriate.

After a lot of laziness and a little review I see no reason to include a doc on this topic. The Kid documentation at

http://www.kid-templating.org/language.html#named-template-functions-py-def == is more than sufficient.
