Description

From Aaron Digulla on the mailing list:

Some feedback on the new Wiki demo:

  • Sometimes, you give the full path to a file, sometimes, you just say

"edit model.py". Please use the full path always.

  • When JavaScript? is not enabled, the code examples are hard to use

(the textarea is just 1-2 lines high). When it is enabled, you cannot cut&paste directly from it because the line numbers get in the way. In my own code examples, I've created two DIVs next to each other (I float the line numbers to the left) to fix this.

  • You say: The "." at the beginning of the template name... but there

is no "." :-)

  • Move the "If you get a KeyError?..." to the place when the user can

actually access the page for the first time. At this time, the database is not ready (the The Page by alternateID pagename='FrontPage?' does not exist)

  • "Click on the CatWalk model browser." ... Uhm... no such thing. After

that error, I was a bit lost until I realized that I had run "tg-admin toolbox" in the wrong directory.

I suggest that tg-admin checks if it's run in the right place and complains if not.

  • The indentation of save() is different than the one for edit() (one

tab vs. four spaces)

  • There is something wrong with save(). When I click on the save

button, I get: TypeError?: save() got an unexpected keyword argument 'submit'

  • In "Hey, where's the page", replace "Change the index method like

this:" with "In the index method, wrap the call to Page.byPagename() with an exception handler:"

  • In the AJAX example, you say "Just below the expose decorator, let's

add another:". Replace this with "Just below the expose decorator of pagelist()..."

  • When starting with the JavaScript? example, add a note at the

beginning whichs ays that you're not done after the first code block or users will wonder why the end tag is missing.
